Camp Canine is totally fenced, so you can let your dog run without a leash.  It has climbing platforms, different size tunnels,  ramps and other fun dog items.  There is a large, open pole-barn and tables, so you just need to bring folding chairs.

Picnic:       Susan will provide drinks (sodas, water and juice), utensils, cups, napkins and paper plates.

I love my Lundefest bandana

My annual Lundefest  began around 1995 as something for pet dog owners to do while watching the Lundehund Specialty show at the July ARBA (American Rare Breed Association) dog shows.  Quickly it became more of an attraction itself than the actual dog show.  When, after several years, ARBA's director indicated that he didn't want to have non-paying dog owners present in a non-show related activity, I moved the fest to various locations, finally settling at Camp Canine, a dog daycare facility next to my pet hospital.

See bottom of page for map.

Liver treats, YUM
There's barking and gabbing
Who couldn't love those faces?
Bonita and tennis ball

Visit Yahoo groups, find our message board, 'NW Lundies', and request a membership invite to receive information about the fest dates.

It occurs sometime during the summer depending on everyone's schedules.  The fest averages from 5-10 households with 8-20 Lundehunds attending.  All enjoy a potluck picnic.  I host dog games such as doggie musical chairs, costume dress-up, climbing and jumping contests, Lundie limbo, and a tunnel competition.

We don't do this as much anymore--Getting too old!!!
Ready .........Set.........
............Go!--------Well, for some of us
Hey Big Spender, come here often?
Everyone can lay back and relax
I'm here incognito this year, how about you?

The activity most enjoyed by the dogs are two races, each a different length.

The game most enjoyed by owners is dressing up their Lundies in amusing costumes,

of which the dogs are not amused, but amazingly tolerant.
